IPAN beach Resort Bus

In the midst of our busy schedule- Christmas rush and transferring to our new and permanent home (It's about time!), we were able to escape for about four days. And yes, last December 27-30, 2004, we went to see Guam!
We were surprised to see that most locals are from the Philippines. The tourist were made up of mostly Koreans and Japanese. So it's easy for Wilson & I to blend with the crowd well hehehe.
The products they have were mostly from neighboring countries like Thailand and of course, our country also. So when we went to Wednesday night market in Chamorro Village- well known for its flea market or tiangge, I was kind of disappointed to see that it is like Quiapo, Manila because most of Quiapo products- shells, capiz and the likes were sold there. And who would have missed the typical kakanin sold by who else- Filipinos! My excitement was turned to disappointment!

We departed Manille on time- 10:20pm of December 27, 2004 Monday and arrived at around 4am Tuesday, Guam time, at the Antonio B. Won Pat Airport. Holiday Plaza Hotel is kind to accomodate us around 8am for an early checked-in. We toured, by Lam-lam Bus Transport- paid $10 for a week pass ( I suggest you do that, it's $2 per bus ride). Tumon Bay is the center for tourist who wants to shop-till-u-drop. Malls like ABC stores, DFS Galleria (Duty Free Shop), The Plaza, Sands Plaza, Acanta & attractions like Game Works, Under Water World, Planet Hollywood, Sand Castle, Sling Shot are all found there. Other malls found outside Tumon Bay are Guam premium Outlet (GPO), K-Mart, Micronesia Mall, where there is an indoor theme park and the Chamorro Village.
We also visted on Day 1, Two Lover's Point- overlooking the city of Guam, before sunset we went swimming on the beach of Tumon Bay and after that, we had an enchanting evening watching the performance at the Sand Castle.

Day 2 started at 8am, we booked with IPAN beach resort for a day trip. We drove for an hour going to the resort. For $85, the package includes riverboat cruise, cable car ride to Talofofo's 2 Falls, Yokoi's Cave, Ghost House, Bumper car ride, a visit to the museum, lunch buffet and snorkeling! The whole activity ended around 3pm and we were back at the hotel with enough time to go to Chamorro Wednesday Night Market.
The next day, we packed for an early morning 6:20am flight back to Manila. We had fun and i can satisfactorily say that we have seen the city in just two days- the fastest one so far!
